Bio
Growing up on the North Shore of Massachusetts, Brian recalls locking himself in his room for hours when he was twelve years old to learn to play guitar. Although he annoyed everyone within earshot, he eventually got it down.
After being in several garage bands, Brian sang solo at an open mic night, and quickly got the bug. He would occasionally pick up someone's bass guitar just to be part of the sound. Soon, Brian joined members of that open mic and formed "The Walker Brothers Band" , in which he played bass. Soon after in 1991 Brian became the bass player for "The Low Murphy Band".
He was part of the Boston music scene as lead guitarist for the band "Roseshel" , and once opened for Janis Joplin' s old band "Big Brother and the Holding Company" .
Brian now lives in the Boston area and continues to perform solo at various venues around the city as well as on the North Shore and Cape Cod. When he's not strumming his acoustic, you can see him supplying Lead, Bass and/or vocals to many Boston Area acts.
His latest project as guitarist for vocalist "Julie White" is already creating quite a buzz around Boston. Julie and Brians vocal harmonies are spine tingling. Check out some tunes at www.myspace.com/juliewhitemusic and www.myspace.com/brianburrill.
